Qinglong Gorge is one of the five parks of Yuntaishan UNESCO Global Geopark and a provincial scenic area, covering about 108 sq km. It is a Quaternary glacial gorge carved by deep river incision 2.6 million years ago. The gorge is 3–20 m wide, 600–700 m deep and 7.5 km long, with sheer cliffs and murmuring streams, combining grandeur and elegance.
Qinglong Gorge is a mountain gorge landscape dominated by pools, waterfalls and springs, known as the "Largest Gorge in Central Plains". With a unique climate, the average summer temperature is about 8°C lower than on the plains, making it an outstanding natural summer resort. The scenic area is rich in flora, fauna and water resources, with 95% forest coverage.
