Multiple Ways to Reach Yuntaishan

No matter where you start, you'll find the most suitable way to travel

Self-Driving Routes

Yuntaishan is about 70 km from Zhengzhou; the whole trip by expressway takes about 1.5 hours. Simply search "Yuntaishan Scenic Area" in your navigation app for direct directions.

Recommended Routes

  • From Zhengzhou: Lianhuo Expressway → Zhengyun Expressway → Jiaozuo/Xiuwu/S233 Exit → Yuntaishan Scenic Area (about 1.5 hours)
  • From Jiaozuo: drive north along S233 Provincial Road for about 30 km to reach the scenic area (about 40 minutes)
  • From Xinxiang: Jinggang'ao Expressway → Changji Expressway → Xiuwu South Exit → Yuntaishan (about 1.5 hours)
  • From Luoyang: Erguang Expressway → Hebao Expressway → Xiuwu South Exit → Yuntaishan (about 2 hours)

High-Speed Rail

Take the high-speed rail to Zhengzhou East Station or Jiaozuo Station, then transfer to public transport to the scenic area. Fast and comfortable, high-speed rail is the top choice for visitors from outside the province.

Transfer Guide

  • Zhengzhou East Station: take the Zhengzhou–Jiaozuo intercity railway to Jiaozuo Station (about 30 minutes), then transfer to Bus No. 3 or the shuttle bus to the scenic area
  • Jiaozuo Station: after exiting, take Bus No. 3 directly to Yuntaishan (about 1 hour, fare 4 yuan)
  • Jiaozuo West Station: farther from the scenic area; it is recommended to take a bus to the city center and then transfer to Bus No. 3
  • Xiuwu West Station: a stop on the Zhengzhou–Jiaozuo intercity railway; you can take a taxi to the scenic area (about 30 yuan)

Long-Distance Bus

Direct buses to Yuntaishan are available from Zhengzhou, Luoyang, Jiaozuo and other places. Affordable fares make this a good option for budget-conscious travelers.

Shuttle Information

  • Zhengzhou: take a Zhengzhou–Jiaozuo bus from Zhengzhou Central Station and get off at the scenic area entrance (about 2 hours total, fare about 35 yuan)
  • Jiaozuo: take Bus No. 3 from Jiaozuo Tourist Bus Station directly to the scenic area (1 hour, 4 yuan)
  • Scenic Area Shuttle: some hotels offer round-trip shuttle buses between Zhengzhou and Yuntaishan; advance booking required

Xiuwu West Station Direct Shuttle to Yuntaishan

Xiuwu West Station is an important stop on the Zhengzhou–Jiaozuo intercity railway, about 30 km from Yuntaishan. The scenic area has launched a direct shuttle for high-speed rail passengers to arrive quickly.

Shuttle Information

  • Departure times: daily 8:00–18:00, one departing shuttle every hour (extra trips added in peak season based on passenger flow)
  • Fare: 10 yuan/person
  • Route: Xiuwu West Station exit → Yuntaishan Baijia Rock Parking Lot (direct, about 30–40 minutes)
  • Boarding point: "Scenic Area Shuttle Boarding Point" at the Xiuwu West Station exit
  • Ticket purchase: buy on-site or follow the "Yuzhou Xing" WeChat mini-program for real-time schedule and ticket booking

Return Shuttle

  • Departure times: daily 8:00–18:00, one departing shuttle every hour
  • Boarding point: Baijia Rock Parking Lot, Zone 2 for large vehicles
  • Suggestion: during the peak return period in high season, arrive early at the boarding point to queue, and follow the "Yuzhou Xing" mini-program for real-time schedules

Other High-Speed Rail Options

  • Jiaozuo Station: after exiting, take Bus No. 3 directly to Baijia Rock Parking Lot; fare 4 yuan/person, about 1 hour, first departure 6:20, one bus every 40 minutes
  • From Xinxiang: departs Xinxiang Passenger Transport Terminal at 12:00, returns from Yuntaishan at 16:00, passing through Xinxiang East High-Speed Rail Station
  • From Zhengzhou: rolling departures from various Zhengzhou stations between 4:00–19:00; follow the "Yuzhou Xing" mini-program for details

The Yuntaishan Scenic Area and its surroundings support charging for new-energy vehicles. Charging Tips

  • Recommended apps: State Grid "e-Charging", TELD, Star Charge — search "charging station" in navigation apps for real-time status
  • Peak season reminder: high charging demand on holidays; it is recommended to charge fully in advance at expressway service areas or in the county town
  • Before departure: it is recommended to charge to over 80% at home or hotel before setting off; within the scenic area it mainly serves as emergency top-up
  • Range advice: departing from Zhengzhou/Jiaozuo, a one-way range within 100 km is sufficient; no need to worry excessively

With a ticket/annual pass, ride the scenic sightseeing bus (tour coach) for free; it loops through all major attractions. Operating hours: 7:00–18:30 in peak season.
