Six core attractions, each worth stopping to savor
A curated selection of the six most worthwhile spots in Yuntaishan, with detailed guides

Hailed as "the No.1 wonder gorge of China," it stretches 1500 meters. Red cliffs and emerald pools interweave to create a unique landscape of crimson walls and jade waters. Streams murmur through the gorge and the pools shimmer green like jade, as if stepping into a fairyland on earth. It is also the most popular spot in Yuntaishan and a must-visit for every traveler.

The highest peak of Yuntaishan, at 1308 meters above sea level. It is famous worldwide because the Tang-dynasty poet Wang Wei wrote his timeless verse "Alone as a stranger in a foreign land, I miss my kin all the more at festival time" here. From the summit you can overlook rolling mountains veiled in mist — a breathtaking view. You may hike up or take the cable car.

Known as the "Little Jiuzhaigou," it stretches 2000 meters. Springs every few steps, waterfalls every few more, and pools beyond — springs, falls, streams, and pools echo one another like a natural landscape painting. The cool, murmuring waters make it an ideal summer escape and a perfect spot for family outings.

Located at 1080 meters above sea level on Fenghuang Ridge, it extends over 400 meters. Standing on the transparent glass walkway with an abyss beneath your feet delivers the thrilling sensation of "floating" above the clouds. It is the perfect place to test your courage and a popular photo spot, drawing large crowds every year to challenge themselves.

Macaque Valley is home to Yuntaishan's wild macaques, where hundreds of them live. Visitors can observe the macaques up close and ride the jungle slide through the forest for a taste of speed and excitement. It is especially ideal for families with children, who will have a joyful time here.

A subsidiary scenic area of Yuntaishan, composed of two great valleys — Qinglong Gorge and Fenglin Gorge. It preserves the most pristine natural ecology, with deep gorges, clear streams, and dense vegetation. The "Love in the Sky" glass viewing platform in Fenglin Gorge has recently become a trending photo spot well worth a special trip.
